The works by which she is best known, are "Little Susy's Six Birthdays," with its companions, and "Stepping Heavenward." The latter was first published in 1869. It has passed through many editions in this country and has had a very wide circulation in Great Britain, Canada and Australia. It was also translated into French and German, and several editions of it have been issued in those languages.
The aim of her writings, whether designed for young or old, is to incite topatience, fidelity, hope and all goodness by showing how trust in God and loving obedience ot His blessed will brighten the darkest path and make a heaven upon earth.
