oops, sorry my computer did a hiccup and the post I was about to start posted with absolutely nothing in the title or anything! ok..

I bought one of her Next titles a few months ago and realized it's part of a series. Each title ends in 'anyway'. I think the title I have is 'why is murder on the menu anyway' and I requested the first 2 from here and have the one in the Christmas anthology...just wondering if anyone here has read them and what you think about the series. I've never heard of this author but the titles sound interesting and since they're 'next' titles I'm expecting someone in her 30's plus dealing with changes in life...but I'm waiting til I get the first book to start reading them!

OK, I guess no one's read any of these...I just finished the first one which sorta sets the background. I enjoyed it and just started 'what goes with blood red, anyway?' the 2nd in this series. These are by Stevi Mittman and are published by Harlequin in their 'Next' title line of books and i think they're mysteries, esp after the first one though the first one was sorta mysterious with the woman forgetting stuff and thinking she's going crazy and being suspicious of her friend/neighbor and husband and just about everyone..funny in places too...in the 2nd one she does interior decorating and the book starts with her finding aclient dead on the kitchen floor...

ETA: ok, just finished the 2nd book - 'what goes with blood red, anyway?' and I really enjoyed it! to me it seemed like a 'cozy' and had some funny parts and some not-so-funny but I'm ready to start the next story in this line which is a shorter one in a Christmas anthology titled 'who needs june in december, anyway?' it's not very long so hopefully won't take long to read it then I can start 'whay is murder on the menu, anyway?' then wait for the next 2 to arrive and the one after that to be published. I didn't expect to like something from harlequin so much...but I have so far!

Just ordered the first two Stevi Mittman books.  I'm just going to keep reading all the posts in the mystery/thriller section and I'll never run out of new series to read.  Thanks all.

I hope you like them Elaine! I've been enjoying them! the first one was 'differen't but the 2nd one deals with more of a mystery solving a murder.

I have read them all and have really enjoyed them.  A new one is coming out this month or next.

Susanna,  That is the one!  I should be getting it this month.  When I started reading the first one I never expected to end up enjoying them so much!

yep, I was the same way! and the ones after the first one are different since we already have the background. I don't like drew's partner though..he's  a jerk, esp in the summer anthology and this last one though it doesn't ruin the book! she has a free e-read online that's pretty good so far...they have a chapter available once or twice a week I thnk.
