Happy New Year everyone! I wish all of you a Blessed and Bright 2016. Let's continue spreading some sticker-y sunshine across the country with Sticker Train 5! All are welcome, continuous riders and new!

To come aboard, please sign up on here or PM me by this afternoon Tuesday, January 12th. I do still have everyone's info from previous routes, please PM me your name and mailing info if you are new to our train.

Our Trains run on fun and I sure pray send off love. We are a Sticker Train and stickers of all shapes and designs are the main cargo. I personally prefer no stinky or glittery stickers to be part of this because both have a way sort of like smoky scents of causing everything else to take on the odor or glitter! The main thing to always remember is this train is NOT about me, but FOR all of you so kind to come aboard I just get to help run and be in it :) Of course, all stickers are welcome, if you would not mind putting especially the stinky stickers in a separate bag or envelope that would be awesome.

This Train 5 will begin at my station here in LA. I do have starting stickers all ready to go. :) What I don't have is the name of the Train 5 card Recipient! Stop the Engines, what does that mean, newcomers? Let's pretend participating along with me on this route are: friends living in MT, KS, and IN. All three of those friends signed up by Jan 12th. That Tuesday night, I put all three of their names (as I will yours) into my Santa hat. I picked the friend living in PA! That means Sticker Train 5 will end in PA.

Once PA friend was picked, she became the last stop. As I have said before, geography is NOT my best subject. I welcome always (in general with our trains, of course, too) help with route planing. We want to make sure our trains are on a steady course. For example, if I do start a train with a card for a friend who lives in PA, we would want our train to head West to East. So if the other riders lived in Montana, Kansas, and Indiana we'd want the route to go in that order: CA to MT to KS to IN to PA as opposed to CA to MT to IN  back to KS and then onto PA. Let's try and keep our train progressing in one direction to the end recipient as our travel plan :)

The train has begun! Friend in MT gets it first. She (saying "she" as so far no men have joined in, please know guys, you are welcome :) has fun of looking at all the stickers and deciding which ones (however many) she would like to keep. That done, she sorts through her own sticker collection and contributes (take/put back #'s DO NOT need to match up) stickers back onto the train for the next friend to go through. She also, of course, writes a greeting in the card for our PA friend. Once done, MT friend send the train off to our friend in KS (please post and do let us know when you have received and sent off a train, To me, anyway, having the train updates makes it more fun and allows us all to better actively be joining in).

Train progresses down the track, please do share with us what stickers you choose. I (as all of you well know :D) love stickers and it's fun to hear what choices each friend makes. At last Sticker Train 5, gets to PA. Hooray! That friend now has a card with greetings from all of us aboard. :) She will begin Sticker Train 6. I would appreciate so much that our next train always begin at the sation the last one ended at. I think (sure hope and pray) this will not only keep our trains running smoother but make turnaround time quicker. Most important thing is a clear stopping and starting place should make it easier for us to be sure each person has gotten to both recieve (I would feel HORRIBLE if anyone was left out) and start a card for someone else. Thank you! Lol, I hope this made sense! This should be much clearer once I do know who is coming  aboard and have chosen the card recipient. :)

I almost forgot one thing. We talked about this some last year. When each train ends, there might be A LOT of stickers on board, Would it be okay with all of you, if the card recipient person (so in my example friend in PA) just chose what to do with them? I mean say there are 20 sheets of stickers left. Maybe she would like to keep 5 for herself donate to church/share 10 of them and put back 5 sheets along with however many new stickers she added to begin Train 6. Let me/us know what you think, Of course this can always be changed as we go along! :)

Hugs to all of you and love always, too! I have sincerely enjoyed so much each of our trains and that they are a way to get to know one another better while of course, sharing stickers :) Happy Weekend, God Bless!

Hooray that you are back aboard, Kim! I will put your name at the top of the train 5 list right now, my friend. Larkspur Jane will be joining us again, too, btw :) I should have said in my original post, please do sign up in this thread, even if you have ridden aboard our other 4 trains. A current passenger list makes things clearer. Thank you!

Much welcome and hug, Mary!

Sandy, hug to you also and so glad you are coming aboard!

We have 8 riders! Sandi, Sandy, and Me in CA. Sophia and Shannon in NE, Michelle P in KS, Mary in AR, and Kim in OH.

All our names have been written down, in alternating red and green :) I am about to get out my Santa hat which looks like: http://c.shld.net/rpx/i/s/i/spin/10102284/prod_1510662612?hei=333&wid=333&op_sharpen=1

I just dropped all 8 pieces of paper (folded in half and half again) into my hat. I’m shaking it all up and I hope all of you hear the bells jingling and caroler’s voices rejoicing in Jesus and have picked….are you ready??? This is most fitting for this Christmas in January to have picked…MARY! Yay, Mary. Because all of you must know this, Mary’s name was written in red felt tip pen.

Red pen (Sophia, Sandi, Me, and Mary)

Green pen (Shannon, Kim, Michelle P, and Sandy)

For a lol, I did go ahead and include all 8 of our names. Out of our 8 riders myself (train 4) and Michelle P (train 3) have gotten cards. The first train carried a card for Kimmy and the second for Michelle S. Guess whose name I picked first? Almost. Michelle P. I chose myself next. LOL. I do not believe in luck or chance so this was sincerely just funny and I hope it brings all of you an extra smile. God wanted to give us an extra laugh this beautiful Tuesday. I got down to business and put all our names back into the hat and most fittingly drew Mary (thinkiing of Christmas). So all that said…our train will end in Arkansas. Mary, when this train is completed and you have gotten the card, I would appreciate so much if you would please begin Train 6 and choose who that card will be for but we have time for that. Right now time to set this Train 5 into motion.

With Mary in AR last…would the route be: Me, Sandi, and Sandy in CA, Sophia and Shannon in NE, Kim in Ohio and then back to Mary in AR? Any and all route (and, of course, any other) help is always welcome and so appreciated! I will start making Mary’s card and hope to get it and our sticker train off to you Sandi tomorrow. I will include this time around a list with all of our addresses in order of stops. Please cross off your name when you mail on.

Thank you all so much for coming aboard. Have FUN and know I love you all.

Sounds like a good route to me Mona!  Thank you for getting us all organized and the route sounds good to me.  You know what would be awesome...I'm just thinking here...how about each one of us put a picture postcard from our state into the envelope before sending it along?  Just a little bit of a "sightseeing" along the route.  What does everyone think?

Thanks, Sandy :) I am smiling to think how I would frame all the post cards or put them in my scrapbook :) Would the post-card be for Mary (like we would in addition to signing her card) write a post-card message or would the cards just be a hello for everyone on aboard from all of us on board so no message? I did already make a card for Mary for all of us to sign. Maybe those of you who want could also include a message to her on a post-card (or even just find a Google image of your home state) and print out an extra note to her that way? For our next train, rather than one card signed by all of us, it could carry post-cards from all of us? I also know and this is funny typing this from here in LA where post-cards are very easy to find, but I know in some places they aren't.  We could also each make a post-card with a piece of card stock paper, an image on the front and message on the back. I am realizing this would be an added expense.

I would love a map that somehow showed a route with our states and names inside it start to finish and maybe our beautiful sticker train logo made by our friend Lowrider in the middle :) I think we all need to meet in person at Disneyland of course when the RR is back up and make a human sticker train map :D

Yes Mona, I think the postcard should be for Mary.  We don't have to write a note on it but to each his own on that one.  I think it'd be a nice way to show all of us where the train has been before us.

Thanks Sandy for clearing that up and the lovely idea :) That sounds like extra fun and great to me. How about anyone who wants to just go ahead and include a post-card for Mary. Again these (much like the group card we send around) can be home made completely or store bought and persoanlized doesn't matter. What counts is that we are coming together to have fun and spread cheer with this. Thank you, all of you so much for doing this again. Hugs to all!

:) Thanks everyone. I got Mary a post card just now and will write messages on that and her card from all of us and go mail the Train. Sandi, I will send you tracking when I get home.

I re-read the train route and realized our friend Michelle P was left out :/ So between Sophia and Shannon and Kim will be Michelle P. Me to Sandi to Sandy to Sophia and Shannon to Michelle P to Kim ending at Mary's house. There are indeed 8 of us on board. :)

Train has left my station and is heading to Sandi! :) As an FYI for all it cost me $2.74 to mail first class. I believe all told there were probably 25 sheets of stickers (including both full and partial sheets) along with Mary's card and post card from me. I did remember this time to also include a list with our route and all addresses. Have fun everyone and thanks again for coming aboard! :)

Sticker Train #5 has arrived at its first destination!  I'll be looking thru the 'cargo' tonight, adding more and sending it on to stop number two on Monday Tuesday (since Monday is a holiday).  More details once the train is loaded.... laugh

Attention...Attention!

Our Sticker Train left the station in Sun City, CA today and is headed down the tracks to North Bend, NE.  Arrival at that station is estimated for Tuesday of next week.

I chose some of the cutest Cat stickers I've ever seen and loaded up a bunch of stickers to add to the cargo.

Besides the post card from southern Cali, I made a special little something something for Mary.

Sophia & Shannon...are you ready for the train to pull into your station?
