I recieved a paperback book today with a large sticky, gummy spot on the cover--the kind you get when you peel off a sticker.  It's a little larger than twice the size of a quarter.  Should this be marked recieved with a problem, or is this okay?

A bit of Windex or Goo-Be-Gone or Magic Eraser should get rid of it.  It sounds like where a price sticker was removed; I'd say not RWP, but see what others feel.

I agree with Catt - don't mark it RWAP.  Goo-gone is a wonderful product and will take it right off.

Got it!  I actually think we have some in the basement--the previous owners of our house left us a whole mess of useful stuff, like spare paint that matches our walls, and goo-gone!

I'm going to try it!

Just to follow up--I used goo-gone, and it worked great!  That stuff is miraculous.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone!

Lol - my mind is obviously in the gutter because I opened this thinking it was an R-rated topic:P  I'm obviously spending too much time on the Love & Romance forum...  Anyhoo, I adore Goo Gone.  It's pretty much all I use to clean book covers.  Great for icky sticky former library books with lots of stickers & sticker goo.
