Good book, about a beautician who has a way with people, listens to them and their dreams. Easy to read, enjoyable.

I know it sounds cliche', but this book is about family and healing; all wrapped around Rita, who "sees things". Actually, she is a good, old-fashioned hairdresser, truly a small town's best listener. I so enjoy Monica Wood's writing, it is the depth that is Maine's people.

Just finished My Only Story by Monica Wood, a book that is 20 years old and somehow slipped by me as I devoured everything she wrote. A tale about people and their so-awful losses, and the finding of love and others that brings them hope and life anew. A master with words and description, this is a woman who just knows and sees people and finds way to heal them as she tells their stories.
