My son who is in 5th grade loved this book. I also purchased the books on tape so that he could read along while listening. He borrowed an atlas to follow along on the journey and noted how the names of some of the places had changed. I think that without the tapes, he would have had a harder time getting into the book because of the way it is written.
In 1768 Captain James Cook, sailed from England on a 3 year voage...A read sparkling with humor, and adventure.
