Very good, 2 complete novels by Dean Koonz
This book was generally worth the read, but there were moments when I felt that what came next was bordering on predictible. Still, I would generally recommend this book.
Joey Shannon, an alcoholic whose life has been going nowhere for 20 years, returns to his hometown for the funeral of his father. As he leaves town, he gets a mysterious second chance to relive the night in 1975 when his life began its downward spiral: to both literally and figuratively take the road that he didn't originally take. On this road he is supremely tested by conflict with his successful and charismatic older brother P.J
Loved this book. Full fo short stories that you can pick up and read anytime you have a break! Koontz at his best!
Great reading there are 2 complete novels and 12 tales all bizarre as only Dean can do. This is a great read.
you're about to travel along the strange highways of human experience: the adventures, terrors, failures, and triumps that we know as we make our way from birth to death, along the routes that we choose for ourselves...and along others onto which we are devoured by fate. you'll be mesmerized, terrorfied, changed,.. from the first page of this book...to last day of your life.
You are about to experience what may be the publishing event of the year. The author - one of the most prolific writers of our time, the creator of such classic New York Times bestsellers as Dragon Tears, Midnight, The Bad Place, Watchers, and Hideaway. The book - an extraordinary first-ever collection of two complete novels, plus a compilation of twelve novelettes and short stories, as only the man universally hailed as a master of imaginative fiction can create them. You are about to travel along the strange highways of human experience: the adventures and terrors and failures and triumphs that we know as we make our way from birth to death, along the routes that we choose for ourselves and along others onto which we are detoured by fate. It is a journey down wrong roads that can lead to unexpectedly and stunningly right destinations ... into subterranean depths where the darkness of the human soul breeds in every conceivable form ... over unfamiliar terrain populated by the denizens of hell. It is a world of unlikely heroes, haunted thieves, fearsome predators, vengeful children, and suspiciously humanlike robots.
Collective f 2 full novels, a compilation of 12 novelettes & short stories, is a master of fiction by one of the great authors of our time. Another plus is you can sit & read a story all at once, choosing whether you want a short or longer dose of the book. Excellent storylines
Another great book by Dean Koontz. This isn't my favorite but still very good. A man is given a chance to go back in time to the night he made a horrible decision to try to make it right. Some people will die but some may be saved if he can figure out who the killer is and what his next move will be.
Great collection of 'strange tales'.

Very good book!
A collection of two complete novels plus a compilation of twelve novelettes and short stories
Joey Shannon know that a supernatural force drives him toward the meaning of his troubled life, waiting somewhere along a two-land mountain road. There, he'll be allowed to replay the fateful night of his youth, drawing only on the depth of his own wisdom and courage.
The narrator's voice was a little somber and lackluster, but the story itself was excellent.
I liked it, but I do prefer Dean Koontz's full stories rather than a collection of short ones.
I loved this. It was a nice change from a long winding story, and even though I've read each story only once about a year ago, I can still remember them vividly.
Exellent short stories in this book! I enjoyed reading every one of them.
Another great from Koontz
Awesome! James Spader narrates this book and that in itself makes it worth the listen.
another good Dean Koontz book.
Short stories by Dean Koontz, including two complete novels.
This is a collection of short stories. I bought this book years ago, & loved it so much it went on my keeper shelf!
Always loved Dean Koontz!!
This book contains several short stories...some good some bad. I enjoyed reading most of them. Some charmed me others frightened me. This would be good for someone that does not want to commit to a novel.
this book got a little water on it from my tub but is still readable.
I can't say much about this, it was given to me for a friend who already has it so I thought I'd pass along to someone else.
