I know that LJ Smith is a much-praised author, but I very honestly did not see the appeal behind her books (granted, I only read these three "Dark Visions" books). They were just all right. Many elements were predictable, the dialogue was stilted, some plot twists were just odd, and the overall outcome left you with a sense of, "... what?"
