I requested a book yesterday---not a WL book for anyone. According to my transaction archive, that book was cancelled by the sender. But the book is still on my list of requested books marked 'waiting for member'.

How could this happen?

ETA I just checked and my RL (I listed the book there when I saw the cancellation in my transaction archive) states there are 0 copies of the book.

2nd edit: worked out that the 'waiting for member' status is for a different member than the sender who cancelled the request.

Yes, you are correct. The request rolled over to the next in line. Let's hope the 2nd one works out since there are no more copies available.
