EXCELLENT Trek novel - about first contact between Vulcan and Earth.
excellent written book, the story was surprising and it was worth reading
This is a book about a book about the first contact between humans and Vulcans, and it rewrites some Star Trek history. I wasn't sure I would like it at first, but it turned out to be very interesting. Will definitely appeal to hard core Star Trek fans.
This book was a little inconsistent with the Star Trek timeline, but since this is a canon, I can forgive it. The book was very interesting, and kept my interest throughout the entire book.
I think the story line I liked the most was the supposed "first time" Vulcans interacted with humans. The Spock/Kirk story line was interesting and sweet, with lots of friendship and loyalty, but the real action happens in the other story line.
I think it's definitely worth reading. I watch Star Trek and read canon, and this is one of the best canon books I have read thus far. You won't be disappointed.
It began with The Enterprise here is the second in the star trek saga. United at last after countless years of warefare, humanity turns toward the stars. But an alien spaceship crashes in the south Pacific bearing visitors from another world, The Vulcans, Earth must decide to extend the hand of friendship or fists of war.
