Unless they can discover Wardwell's master plan soon, Jesse's sister, the other patients, and an unknown number of innocent people, will pay the price.
What can I say about this series other than I love it and Stronger Than Sin was ever bit as fast paced and exciting as Sins of the Flesh. These are not your momma's paranormals! These are a whole different type of paranormal than the vampire/werewolf variety, but just as totally satisfying. The level of suspense and mystery is built to a very splashy finish and I'm pleased to see that Pineiro has at least two more books in this series coming out so we can return to her world soon. This book can be read as a stand alone but why would you want to. It is a much richer book if read with Sins of the Flesh. While definitely a paranormal, this book is scariest because the medical aspects of it are not too far out there to make you wonder what if?
We met Dr Lilianna Carrera in the first book and her rich Hispanic heritage is very central in making her the type of doctor and person she is. I loved getting a peek inside her family and it added so much to the book. She is determined to figure out what the "mad scientists" have done to the DNA of their patients and help find a cure so that they can regain control of their lives. This was a very easy and fast read. I finished it in hours as I did not lay it down once I got about a third into it.
