Man this is the second time I said I recieved a WL book without thoroughly checking to make sure the spine was intact. I just peeked at the book in the envelope and said I recieved it. It makes me so mad at myself and the people that are posting books that are in bad condtion. I wouldn't post a book that has sections of the book separated fromt the spine. Kim How would you fix this ? I am afraid I will mess it up with super glue. I know I could post them as freebies with orders but man it just irks me. You should check out the Damaged Books Box in the games forum. |

Even though you already checked it received, I would still PM the sender and explain the problem. They may not be aware what that type of damage looks like. I know I wasn't when I joined here. |

Jessie, is it completely comming apart or just cracking? In other words, can you read it? If you can, you can send it to me after you finish it & I'll see what I can do with it and mail it back to you. It's hard to tell you what to do with it when it's not in my hands and I can't see the damage. There's a chance with spine damage that it can't be fixed though, especially if it's fully cleaved from top to bottom. Oh, and something else - there was a post on the Q&A forum recently, and somebody has a dialogue with the PBS team, and they said you can ask for a credit for your unpostables - like WL books - you just can't post them to your shelf. I presume this could be done in the BB or even here for that matter. The gist of it being that if someone knows a book is unpostable & why, but they still don't mind giving a credit for it, PBS doesn't have a problem with that. Just FYI. The front and back spine area cover is fine it is just like a hunk of "binded" pages that apart from the rest of the books It is readable but it is falling apart. I am going to try glue, also I remember a post you had on repairing books so I am going to try and find it inthe L&R vault lol |

Oops - I edited at the same time you posted - lol. Look at the last part of my post above:P You don't have to be stuck with it if someone wants it & is willing to spend a credit on it. |
