...it would seem that at this point they are the ones continuing this line of what they like to call "hate". I'm confused by this statement. Please elaborate. |

Doubt you'll get an answer, Brook. A pattern is developing. Everyone has probably noticed by now that Bob and Patricia don't articulate their positions or offer any substantial argument. And when there's any opposition in the least, they move onto another thread where they can characterise others and other discussion according to their rather rigid and limited interpretations. I invite anyone who could be confused to view the thread that got Patricia upset and see if there was any attack made on Christianity. You won't see Patricia's remarks — she deleted them — but you can read everyone else's, including Bob's, and see if people were repudiating Christianity or simply boorish behavior. |

I agree with everything you said, Rainey. |

Honestly, I'm not sure why there's this back and forth between the CMT forum, and this forum. What does one have to do with the other, really? I like to come to this forum to hear recommendations about Christian books, and talk with other Christians. But I don't particularly want to come here and argue Christianity or who and what is Christian, etc. I'd also hate to see it become a complaining ground about people here at PBS who aren't Christian. I've kind of looked at it as a haven for me from other things on PBS that can sometimes get heated, but in the past couple of days it has become less and less of that. I do understand it's a public forum, and anyone can post whatever they want anywhere. All that being said, I haven't particularly felt any Christian criticism. If you don't dish it out, you won't get it back (most of the time). Don't criticize people who aren't Christian if you don't want to be criticized about being Christian. I have friends from all walks of life, and I respect that they've made their decisions, just as I have made mine. If God wants to lead them to Christianity, He will. If He wants to use me to do it, He will in His way. So I guess I don't feel the need to try to convert people everywhere I go. If I can be loving, and show understanding to them, then if God wills it, maybe someday someone will be led to Christianity because they remember kind, loving Christians. |

Very well said, Brenda. I've never thought anything you have said has been controversial, demeaning, or mean or bad or anything ever. Nothin' but respect for ya' I think the reason it has blossomed over here too is because a couple of people brought it here. They said some stuff here that they probably should have said there and it got responded to here. Does that make sense? I do hate to see this issue come over here to this forum. I would imagine there are quite a few people who use this forum the way it's intended - to find christian books. They're not here to debate their religious beliefs. So stop it guys. Take it all back to where it came from. Please? |

Yes, I agree with that. I thought to myself earlier that this has nothing to do with christian books. I apologize for my role in this particular discussion moving past the CMT forum. |

Sounds reasonable to me. I don't like History but I'm not going to go into the section to ask people why they do. I don't see this as any different. |

I finally found these threads because they were referenced on the CMT thread enough that I wondered what was going on. Yes, Shannon, I did note that your topic had been started previously and revived, BTW. |

Thanks, Diana. It's like saying a song written 5 years before my birth was written about me. I didn't even exist yet! Hello? Anybody home? LOL |
