Captian Schratz takes you on a journey of his wartime experiences on hunting submarines starting with German U-boats in the North Sea to the Japanese in the South Pacific. From there he goes on a secrect mission in the Korean war as a commander of the newest submarine USS Pickerel.

An outstanding factual account of several WWII submarine encounters and attacks by one of the premier commanders of the "silent service". Very interesting read for those interested in the true accounts of submarine battle maneuvers and tactics.
