I found this book to be a lifesaver. I was so addicted to sugar, and had become hypoglycemic, to the point where I was having seizures, if I didn't eat candy or sugar, the moment I started shaking and sweating profusely. I was hungry all the time, gaining weight daily it seemed like, tired all the time, and unable to concentrate. After reading this book, and following the steps for getting off the sugar and replacing it with healthy foods, that didn't let my sugar go up and down. I had no more seizures, lost weight like crazy, I have tons of energy now, and I no longer Crave Sugar 24 hrs a day, nor am I hungry all day long. I feel like I have a life again. Not to mention my risk aren't as high for being coming diabetic, which is what my Doctor told me I surely would have before. Not that I don't have a chance of still becoming one, but before it was a SURE THING.
I definetly recommend this book to anyone who struggles with sugar addiction, like I did. You will feel REBORN!
A good guide for those of us who are plagued by hard-to-diagnose health problems such as depression for no reason, sleeeplessness, sluggishness, fuzzy focus, forgetfulness or the inablility to lose weight no matter how hard you try.
This is really a good book for anyone with a blood sugar issue. It has tons of very good suggestions for keeping weight stable and energy levels. It's well written and not too technical so anyone can really use the information.
This was a great book. Fast and easy read- i started and finished it on my flight to and from Lihue. It was extremely informative and had a lot of great things to incporporate to my every day life.
i decided to read it because ive come to admit that im a sugar addict and i love my carbs. im a vegan so i pretty much just eat carbs and ive been looking for ways to change that.
even though this book is directed at people with diabetes i think its a great read for everyone. im taking a lot with me- ive started adding cinnamon to my diet, am walking more, and learned so much about foods that are bad for sugar levels.
anyone whos interested in getting healthier or who has sugar issues should definitely pick this up!
As a newly diagnosed type 2 diabetic I found this to be a huge source of information with many suggestions regarding diet and life-style. I would recommend it to anyone who has concerns about their blood sugar.
