I have a suggestion to make. My suggestion is that if you have a wishlist book notification sent out and you don't respond within 48 hours notify the person that it will be moved to their reminder list.  I say that, because I had a wish list book become available Wednesday, but we had to evacuate due to Tropical Storm Fay (Fickle Fay as most of us that live in the south are calling it) and I didn't get internet again until Saturday.  I can understand not holding it for the person for 48 hours, but this was a book that I was really interested in, so I had to take the time to go find the information to readd it to my wish list.

Just my 2 cents.

Oh no.  That's a pretty good reason for not responding.  I'm sure you had other things on your mind.  Perhaps the site people will show some kindness and put you back at the number one spot.

I am not sure.  Do you know if there is a way that I could notify someone of that?

Just use the "contact us" link below and then click on feedback.  Won't hurt to ask, eh?

Definitely wont hurt to ask, the worst they can say is no, and you're right back where you are now.

If you do happen to miss any more books in the future, you can always go and look at your transaction archieve.  It's on your account page, right under the My Account tab.  It has a list of all your transactions, including the ones that are cancelled.

Just thought I would let you know that I noticed that I had been moved back up to #1 after contacting them and explaining the situation.  As of yet, I haven't gotten an email, but I will let you know if I do and what they said.

That's great news.  I've been without internet before for days due to a hurricane - even though we aren't on the coast.  I wasn't a member then, but thinking about what would happen now under the same circumstances knowing that I'm #1 for several of my most wished for books would be a real disappointment.  And of course according to Murphy's Law that's when it would come available!  ;D  Being without internet itself isn't a reason - but no electricity because of a disaster is.  In the case of no internet I would just go to the library.  When we had our hurricane problems even the library was shut down!

I'm glad to hear that.  I think you're missing the request was out of your control, and had I been in that line it would not have bothered me in the least to have you put back in front.

I've had people put back in front of me on the wishlist before,  I always assume there's a good reason and am glad the same would be done for me if something unexpected happened.
