I'm hoping someone here might make a few suggestions for me. I'm craving some new material.

Some of my favorites are: M.Z. Bradley, Anne McCaffrey, Tara K. Harper, Robert Jordon, Piers Anthony, C.S. Friedman (Coldfire Trilogy)

Thanks in advance!

Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth

David Eddings Belgariad/Mallorean

Both are great series if you enjoyed Robert Jordan.

Andre Norton - the Witch World books are good, but she also has lots of other fantasy novels.

If you haven't read Brandon Sanderson yet, check out his Mistborn trilogy and his standalone novel Elantris.  I loved them all.  Mistborn was particularly awesome.  And in case you hadn't heard, Sanderson is the guy finishing Jordan's Wheel of Time series.

Another awesome newcomer fantasy author is Patrick Rothfuss.  I absolutely LOVED his Name of the Wind.  My only gripe is that the sequel is taking too long to get published.

Robert Rankin, Terry Pratchett, Jasper Fforde and Christopher Moore (not really fantasy but if you liked Piers books).

Kate Elliot.
