Not sure who all you read now, but I will share some authors that I really like now

Karen Kingsbury (anything by her; she hits home with her subjects)

Karen Ball (Shattered Justice is awesome!!)

Kacy Barnett-Gramckow (one of my new favs due to her fleshing out of characters and storylines)

Terri Blackstock (just finished Last Light and loved every second of it)

Sharlene MacLaren (interesting subjects and keeps the story moving)

I noticed also that you had some of the Yada Yada books on your shelf.  You might enjoy Robin Jones Gunn and her sister chick books.  I haven't read them but several in the CF reading challenge I'm in have and they really like them.

Right now I'm reading Healing Stones by Nancy Rue & Stephen Arterburn and it is way high on my list of favorites for this year.  It's the first of a series (Healing Sands, Healing Waters) and I can't wait to get the others.  The WL lines are long and slow-moving, so these are definitely ones I will consider buying.

I've also heard a lot of good about Nancy Moser and her Steadfast series...A Steadfast Surrender and The Ultimatum.   Both are on my TBR and I hope to get to them soon.

I hope you love the Sisterchicks books.  Hula is my personal favorite.

I will second the Nancy Moser suggestion. Just about anything I have ever read by her is awesome. The Seat Beside Me was one of my favs of hers.

I love Nancy Moser. The Seat Beside Me was so wonderful. I loaned it to about 3 people and never got it back the last time. I now have it on my wishlist!

Christa,

One of the reasons the list for Healing Sands is moving slowly (or not at all) is because the book doesn't come out until December :)

I recently tried Sandra Byrd (Let Them Eat Cake) and several books by Siri Mitchell. All were excellent and both authors were new to me.

My favorite Christian author is not well known - Jamie Langston Turner.  She writes contemporary novels about people in a community somewhere in the south.  She develops the characters really deeply and you get to know the characters well.

I hope you find some new authors you like.

Seconding the recommendation for Tim Downs' Bug Man series.  His next book comes out this month, I believe.

I second the recommendation for Francine Rivers.  I also suggest Ellen Gunderson Traylor.  She writes Biblical fiction, blending the Bible and other historical information.  I have nine of her books, all keepers, and I've added all of her others to my WL or RL.  (Same with Rivers.)

There is also a series by Robin Jones Gunn which starts with the book "Secrets".  I really enjoyed that series.
