I'm looking for books to recommend/send to a family friend who lives in Rwanda. She's 11, and is really interested in Harry Potter, Nancy Drew/The Hardy Boys, and also enjoys Twilight (although due to content and characters in later books, I think I'll suggest that she hold off on those for a while!). I plan on telling her about "The Sisters Grimm" series and also the Septimus Heap books, but any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated, as would any deals you could possibly give me. Thanks!

How about the Series of Unfortunate Events, and the Cat Warrior series.  She might also like Princess Academy.
