I realy loved this book until the end . I could nort put this book down I looked so forward to finding out all twists and turns. WAS UTTERLY DISAPPOINTED in the direction this story took out of nowhere This is the first book by this author I have ever reda and zIt eill be the LAST.This was a GREAT BIG DISAPPOINTMENT
Written well but I just didn't like the main character so stopped reading after 100 pages. Seems like she puts way too much responsibility on her 14 yr old son's shoulders so that he has no time to be a kid.
In Sullivan's Law, Nancy T Rosenberg introduces a take no prisoners heroine in a taut razor sharp thriller filled with the sort of gritty, realistic details only a person who's been there could know.
Excellent book, like all of hers.
carolyn sullivan is a probation Officer & is about to have one bad day. One of her probationers has been assested for rape, she is asigned a convicted killer & paranoid schizophrenic, & to make matters someone wants to see her dead.
Carolyn Sullivan, probation officer in Ventura County, California, has a lot on her plate. One of her probationers has just been arrested for rape and she's got a court-mandated report to turn in. THen without warning, she's assigned a sensitive case that's sure to turn up the heat even more-supervising convicted killer Daniel Metroix.
Twnety-three years ago, Metroix went to prison for the murder of a teenage boy. Metroix's file indicates that he's unpredictable and dangerous. But what's more unsettling is his claim that he's innocent-a claim that Carolyn tries to dismiss, until what should be a routine meeting erupts into an inferno that nearly kills them both.
Now Carolyn is diving into a case that everyone else seems to want to keep closed...one that leads behind the glossy exteriors of Ventura's most prominent sons into the darkest corners of a killer's soul. Someone will strike at the heart of Carolyn's worst fear in an attempt to silence her for good.
Always a great writer--A fast paced thriller, a guaranteed adrenaline rush. A probationer has just been arrested for rape and a probation officer has a court-mandated report to turn in. Then w/o warning she's assigned a sensitive case that's sure to turn up the heat even more--supervising a convicted killer who went to prison for the murder of a teenage boy. He's unpredictable and dangerous, and claims he's innocent. A routine meeting turns into an inferno that nearly kills both of them. Someone doesn't want the truth revealed.
