Thoroughly sensitive and engaging novel, no matter what age you are or what circumstances you find yourself in. This author is Literature with a capital L.

Outstanding story by Lessing, focusing on a mother who slips away from her matron role and discovers herself again. Not at all as cheesy as that sounds, sorry I write terrible blurbs. Great read, though.
