I have 14 paperbacks from the Richard Sharpe series by Bernard Cornwell. These are the stories brought to life on BBC by Sean Bean. The first 9 listed are published by Penquin. The second in their series would be Sharpe's Eagle, which is included in my stack. As noted, Sharpe's Fortress has a few pages with a slight texture to them, indicating slight water contact at some point. Actual reading pages & cover are fine. The books were acquired used, but I do not detect pet nor smoke odors. On a scale of 1-5 (5 being like new, 1 being ready to disintegrate), I would rate 12 of these books' condition as a 4, with Eagle & Fortress being closer to a 3. A very readable series - I glazed over on the tactics, but my husband said that's the part he really enjoyed about them. I would like to send these out as a lot: 6 credits for all 14 books. 1 Sharpe's Rifles Spain, 1809 9780140110142 Penguin 3 Sharpe's Gold Portugal, 1810 9780140243055 Penguin 4 Sharpe's Company Spain, 1812 9780140070231 Penguin 5 Sharpe's Sword Spain, 1812 9780140243048 Penguin 6 Sharpe's Enemy Portugal, 1812 9780140104301 Penguin 7 Sharpe's Honor Spain, 1813 9780140145977 Penguin 8 Sharpe's Regiment England, 1813 9780140243062 Penguin 9 Sharpe's Siege France, 1814 9780140144420 Penguin 10 Sharpe's Revenge France, 1814 9780140084726 Penguin Sharpe's Eagle Spain, 1809 0451212576 (would be #2 in series) Sharpe's Battle Spain, 1811 9780060932282 Perennial Sharpe's Tiger India, 1799 9780060932305 Perennial Sharpe's Triumph India, 1803 9780060951979 Perennial Sharpe's Fortress India, 1803 0061012718 (slight water ripple to intro pages) The order of the series may vary depending on the publisher: written date vs. historical date. Quite a lot to enjoy. Please PM me, as I do not often check threads. JP Last Edited on: 11/25/14 12:37 PM ET - Total times edited: 1 |
