Light-hearted, yet poignant, romantic novel in the Coulter family series that presents the power of love through the perspective of a confirmed bachelor who volunteers to protect an agoraphobic heiress. Despite her debilitating phobia and naivete, Rachel Hollister's stubborness, beauty and apparent need for protection from an unknown assailant draw Joseph Paxton into a kitchen-sized world of unexpected love and sacrifice.
Beautifully written with amusing, yet remarkable characters. Especially enjoyed the story as told from the man's perspective.
