This is one of my all-time favorite romance novels. Mary Balogh at her best! I'm only posting it because somehow I ended up with two copies.

The heroine in this novel was hard to like. She was too perfect but by the end of the book I was begining to like her which to me was a little too late.

Chock-full of romance! The hero finally breaks down the heroine's reserve using "old-fashioned romance" although the story is not without it's sex scenes. Now don't get me wrong--I enjoy the sex scenes but it was nice to see the hero focus on the romantic aspect of the relationship before letting his "desire" get the better of him. I look forward to the other character's stories.
