This book is my all time favorite book. It reminds me of one of my friends and me growing up. The book discusses two friends and their lives throughout the years, how they intertwine and grow apart from each other. The girls learn from each other's mistakes and betrayal of the friendship. I usually read this book once or twice a year because it is a very intriguing book. I usually don't like books that switch off from the past and back to the present, but this book has a natural flow that doesn't confuse or frustrate the reader.

This is a great book about enduring friendship and long-lasting connections. You can really sympathize with the characters and even see yourself in them.

Judy Blume is an excellent author. I was incredibly excited when I saw she had adult novels. I adored her children and young adult books; unfortunately, I found her adult novels to be depressing in stead of hilarious. Well written, but not the "fun" read that I'd been expecting.

Where have all the happy books gone? Why is very book about screwed-up, dysfunctional people and their families?
