Beautiful, large color pencil illustrations really captivate even the youngest audience. A wonderful introduction to the Little House On The Prairie series. I love how the simple activities of summer long ago are shown so that a child gets a feel for how things were different then.
Picture book telling of a short portion of a Laura Ingalls Wilder story. Illustrations in the STYLE Of Garth Williams and are by Renee Graef. A lovely book for both girls and boys. This is one in a series of picture book stores, but each book can stand alone as its own story.

Summer is here!
The warm days of summer have arrived, and that means Laura gets to spend fun-filled days outdoors!
The winter is finally over, and now it is summertime! Laura and Mary are busy all day helping Ma in the garden and playing outside. Renée Graefs enchanting full-color illustrations, inspired by Garth Williams classic artwork, bring Laura and her family lovingly to life in this sixth title in the My First Little House book series, picture books adapted from Laura Ingalls Wilders beloved storybooks.
This series is a great introduction to the Little House series. Even my older daughter who has read all of the Little House books treasures these picture books for their gentle and beautiful illustrations.
