A lonely scientist falls in love with an android, whose neural matrix is created from an accident victim. The couple tries to escape from the android's insane creator while having to debate the ethics of whether the android can be considered human or not.
Far from Asaro's best, even though the premise is interesting. A light read with a satisfying ending.
