This year I actually don't mind which team wins.

Oh Joy I hate to say it but I think the Colts will upset the Saints.

Colts are favored, so it wouldn't be an upset. Like you, though, I would be happy with either team winning this year. I'm leaning 60/40 for the Saints, simply because they've never won it and it would mean so much to the city. But as long as it's an entertaining, high scoring game I'll be happy. :-)

I agree with the consensus above  I'd kind of be happy with whoever gets the trophy.  I only pray that it isn't a boring, blow-out.   I want to see lots of scoring and excitement right up to the end.  If I was going to put money on it - I'd go with Manning/Colts (I'm a Manning fan), but my heart really, really wants to see New Orleans get this win.  Can you imagine the celebration come Mardi Gras next week, if they did?

I had wanted to see the Vikings rather than the Saints, which would have seemed to me a matchup between the old school and the new.  I really like Peyton Manning (his commercials are hilarious), and I felt that as much as the Vikings dropped the ball (literally and figuratively) too much of the Vikings/Saints game was dictated by sketchy officiating.  I'll probably find myself rooting for the Colts for those reasons, but honestly the only reason I'm watching this year is to stay in the loop.  Living near Cleveland, being a former Browns fan, football just isn't as fun as it used to be lol.  I don't think the score will be too lopsided, and I'm actually anticipating quite the shoot-out.  It's not that I think the defenses are particularly weak, but both offensives are explosive enough.

To be honest, I'm much more excited that the Daytona 500 is only a week away, so I'm not sure I should be talking football anyway, but that's my two cents.

Bettyjean, the party is going on and will continue on until midnight Mardi Gras. There is a parade specifically for the Saints on Feb 9 that's been scheduled since the Saints/Vikings game. The Who Dat nation is behind the Saints whether or not they won the Superbowl. Since they won it's all the sweeter. I'm so happy for all of them.

It was a great Super Bowl, and I am really happy for the Saints, their fans & city.  They certainly played the better game and so deserved to win it. Seeing Drew Brees with tears in his eyes holding his little boy has to be the top sports pic of the year.  Great idea to put those headphones on the little one to drown out the crowd noise so he wouldn't be scared. It was cool to see all the fans out on Bourbon Street, too. Hope ESPN shows the parade tomorrow.   Being a part of Red Sox Nation I love the Who Dat Nation term, great name!

Joy, I don't know who started the Who Dat Nation term.  Unlike the NFL trying to monopolize on the term Who Dat, the terms that arise in sports belong to the fans. I don't know if the news made the national media but the NFL tried to stop the shops selling sports memorbilia in New Orleans from selling Who Dat shirts. They claimed the logo belonged to the NFL. After the politians jumped on the band wagon defending the fans and shop owners right to produce and sell shirts, hats, etc... the NFL backed down.  Red Sox Nation sounds great!

Well, I guess I was hte only die hard Colts fan to HATE to se them lose. Manning never got to do his two minute drill or his famous comeback. I guess that's due to good play calling...sigh....it would have been just as sweet for the Colts with their new rookie coach...

Ah well... hopefully this season won't be a disappointment....
