My first experience with this author and I can say that I was very impressed with his style of writing. His story was fast-paced and cohesive and held my interest throughout the whole book. The language in certain areas of the book is pretty vulgar, so if you are easily offended by four letter words, this book is not for you. The author chose to use profanity when writing about hardened street gangs and criminals to make it more believable.

Seattle Times calls Gary Hardwick "The Elmore Leonard of Black Mystery Writers".
