I just began this book a few days ago and it truly is fascinating. Its called Seduced by Madness: The True Story of the Susan Polk Murder Case by Carol Pogash.  The writing is very thorough and well done. It reads like a good fiction novel instead of a quick news article. Has  anyone else read it?

just finished The Red Parts: a memoir by Maggie Nelson (true crime) 

I have it on reserve at the library but they haven;t got their copy yet.  I'm number 1 on the list.  I requested they buy it months ago...so they put me at the top of the list but it is taking forever to arrive.   Glad it is good..we used to live near where the crime took place..so I followed the crime pretty closely.

I just happened to stumble upon it in my local library. I guess i was lucky! The book is one of the best true crime books i've read. I'm halfway through. I have read all of Ann Rule's books except her latest and various other true crime. You'll love Ann Rules latest book too.....I got a library copy of it as soon as it came out but they are slow with this Polk book.

I can't wait to read ann rule's latest. I just finished Seduced by Madness and it was incredible. A must read for true crime fans. Susan Polk is such a fascinating character that she is not easily forgotten. I was hooked.

I'm reading Mind Games By Carlton Smith It's about Susan & Felix Polk .I would  guess it is the same case as in Seduced By Maddness?? I know this is one crazy story for sure!

Yes, that's the same case. It's very bizarre. I was really riveted by Seduced by Madness. Amazing book!

CR -- Double Jeopardy by Bob Hill

I was watching Snapped on the oxygen network the other nite and they had the Susan Polk case on ,It was really interesting they rerun alot so anybody interested in the case might keep there eye out for it.

There is also another book on Susan Polk...by Catherine Crier, who used to be on Court TV. It is titled Final Analysis. It is her latest book and also very well written. She wrote the definitive book on Scott Peterson also.

Thanks for the info Nancy.  I may have read the one she wrote on Scott Peterson. I get "book amnesia" after a while and can't seem to remember details like i should!:) I know i read a book about Peterson, just not sure now which one it was. I'll have to look up Final Analysis. thanks, Jody
