If I order three books from the same member, will that count as one swap fee?  Or three?

Each transaction only has one fee, even if the shipment has multiple books.

Each ISBN in a multiple-book request counts as a single swap. Three books with different ISBNs in a single shipment counts as three swaps. Three books in a set that were posted using a single ISBN counts as one swap.

PBS is ISBN-driven and each ISBN is treated as a single item. In the large majority of cases, 1 ISBN = 1 book = 1 trade credit. However, sometimes members post sets of books, or boxed-set of books, under a single ISBN. These will count as a single swap since 1 ISBN = 1 trade credit, even for a set of books.

That is NOT correct.  It does not matter if there is 1 or 10 books in a single transaction from the same sender, it will only cost 1 swap fee plus a credit for each book in the request.

The following is directly from the "Help Center":

What if I order two books from the same person? Do I get charged two swap fees?

  • No, each shipment you request costs one swap fee (even if the shipment has more than one book in it)

My comments were in regard only to transactions and trade credits, not swap fees. Scott is correct.  My comment was misleading since the question was about swap fees rather than the number of swaps and credits.

The question was in regard to the 49c swap fee. Scott is correct about the swap fee.
