My swimming coach has recommended a swimmer's snorkel to avoid back injuries during my training. I'm really excited about this because I have back problems. Does anyone have experience with the swimmer's Snorkel. It's a long shot, but I thought I would ask.

Here's a link:        http://www.finisinc.com/Company/Tech_Sheets/Snorkel/snorkel_technology.aspx

Thanks,

I've never used that snorkel, but I swim a lot and have had to use snorkels in various situations.  I honestly, truly, absolutely, positively, without a doubt, really 100% hate snorkels.  I spend more time clearing water out of the snorkel and out of me than actually swimming.

I have to agree with kiristen. Plus, if you are turning your head properly and not lifting it out of the water to breath then it shouldn't be a strain on your back.
