There are all sort of symbols by the books on my shelf. Some are ratings, but I have no idea what the red circle slash or some of the others mean. There must be a key to all these symbols somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. Ideas? Thanks!

Hi Amy,

You are correct, this has to do with book ratings. The stars that are gold with a red circle slash indicate you have already rated these books. The gold stars indicate the rating you gave.

If there are blue stars on other books, this is the average rating other members have given to a book. The small blue number indicates how many members have rated the book.

Hover over the icons with your mouse. That will tell you what the icons represent.

If you want to see what the average star rating is you can click on the red circle to turn it off and it will show the blue star rating.  Then you can click on the stars that you gave it to put it back.
