I just got one of those "your wish is granted" emails for a book that I just marked received today!!  How on earth did it end up on my wishlist when the system should know I already have it in my hands???  Obviously I turned down the offer, but do I need to report this--and if so, how/where should I do so, just the "contact us" at the bottom of any page??

yes and use the contact us link

although did you have another version on your WL?  if so, that might be where it came from.

Nope.  It was a book I ordered from someone's shelf as a 2nd with something else, nothing I ever had waitlisted....

Yes - definitely report it and make sure you include the title and author of the book and the date/time it was offered (check your transaction archive for the details)

kind of detouring from your question but, when you say "waitlisted" do you mean what PBS calls "Wishlisted"?

Christy, I've noticed a lot of people lately calling the WishList a WaitList. Patricia, does it come from another site?

Yeah, and people call credits points too.  That one irritates me.  Points are what we will be acquiring for titles on our wishlist, credits are what we use to "purchase" those books.

Patti, you should ALWAYS report a glitch in the system.  If no one does, they never know they're there.  =)

Nope, this is my first and only bookswap site (unless you count the physical library here, grin).  The Wish List is for books I'm willing to Wait for, so I use the words interchangably and type whichever pops into my head at the moment.  ;)

R&R cleared it up for me, sort of... the book took a little longer than the system allows, which happens most of the time with my APO and media mail, no big deal.  I'm in the habit of removing it from my wishwait list now when it is marked "lost," but apparently this removal didn't take or somehow I missed it.  I'm learning that anything you manually delete has to be checked at least twice to make sure it's really really gone.  Some books like to resurrect themselves.  ;)

Some books like to resurrect themselves.

Especially Easter week? :-)
