I will admit that I'm not up on many of the changes that are happening.  But, I was looking at My Bookshelf this morning and all of my TBR books are now listed on it showing that they aren't available for swapping.  Is this a new feature - or is there a problem with my shelf?  I only want books that are available for swapping on my bookshelf...my TBR pile far outnumbers my books available for swapping.

I see another post about this.  I don't like this at all.  I have a hard enough time keeping my bookshelf maintained - I don't need other books on it to confuse me.  I can easily repost them from my TBR list when I'm ready.

I'm all for change, but let's stop making everything more complicated.

just change the view to "Books on hold" and then you can select all and delete.

The "Books to Repost" list was merged with the bookshelf. Whenever you receive a book, you can put it on your bookshelf for posting after you've read it. Just switch the status on the bookshelf to post it. Much easier to put books back into the system that way.

It's not any easier than posting it from my TBR shelf.  It now just cluttered my Bookshelf of books that I am wanting to trade.

LOL!  I have enough headaches at work.  This is supposed to be relaxing.  I had a very short TBR list, so I just deleted all of it.  Bookshelf simplified.

I guess I really don't understand the need for a TBR pile.  Every book in my house that hasn't been read is TBR! =0)

The TBR (and books-posted, I suppose) may have other purposes, but the reason I find it useful is that if I repost a book from my TBR, the system knows it's the same copy I got from Insert Person's Name Here a few months ago, and tracks distance-sent in that little 'footprint' icon. :->

It was not the TBR books that got added to your shelf. The Books to be reposted list was merged into the bookshelf. You can select view hold books and delete them all if you want. Your TBR will still be there and exactly the same as it was before ;)

Just click on the view pull down menu, click on posted books. Only your bookshelf will show up. I just wish it would then be set as the default view, but you have to change it each time you go to it.

It was the TBR list that merged with the Bookshelf and I'm guessing that anytime you have received a book and added it to your TBR list it sees that as a book to repost because that is what happened with mine.  All the books that I have that I received through PBS show up as To repost and on my TBR...BUT, for those that don't like looking at the ones to repost and the ones posted simply use the pull-down menu "View" and select  what you want to see...you don't have to look at a combined list.

Would have been nice if we'd had a heads up this was happening but, it isn't all that bad.

Perhaps instead of spending time programming unwanted features like this, some more time might be spent adding features to the site which would be more useful, such as automatically populating the subject line with a book title when someone clicks on the PM button to send a message to a book requestor... or making it possible to find the requestor's address without having to click open 4 windows .... or giving us the ability to list the condition of books in our inventory .... or allowing us to rate shippers....

Those latter two are probably never going to happen, because of the structure and design of the site, Jennifer D.

My 'ooh I wish' feature is, somewhere to click on a book's listing to go straight to editing its info -- so I don't have to copy and paste the ISBN, click the 'Edit Book Info' link, and then put it in there, and click AGAIN before I can, say, fix a typo in the author's name (or put in a description).

Explanation from Robert in CMT:

We have combined the Bookshelf with the Books to Repost list this evening.
