Another publisher finally figuring it out:

Tom Doherty Associates, publishers of Tor, Forge, Orb, Starscape, and Tor Teen, today announced that by early July 2012, their entire list of e-books will be available DRM-free.

Yay!

I've seen a few Tor books listed on Webscriptions (now BaenEbooks.com) before but they've never been available.  I wonder if they're going to set up their own e-bookstore or just go with the status quo?  I can't imagine them using Webscriptions anymore now that it's been explicitly branded as Baen's.

Question answered.

In addition to continuing to sell through the same stores as before, they're creating their own e-book store sometime this summer.  Hopefully it'll be as great as Baen's.
