This book captivated me and fueled my own dream to live in a wonderful old home in a small town. You get a real feel and are transported with Carley to the South.

This is the first book I've read by Lawana Blackwell but it definitely will not be my last. This book covers all of the human emotions one can have from a child to a young adult. I was intrigued by the plot twists and the way the author drew you in to the story. I felt like I lived through "Carley Reed's" life with her. I could not put this book down and read it all in one day.
I am a fan of this author and will be looking for more books written by her. If you like fiction with interesting twists and turns, then give this author a try. I'm sure glad I did.

A nice story about a lady trying to make herself a good future despite an abusing upbringing. She learns more about herself as she reaches out to someone else. The story takes a bit of a twist as it uncovers a mystery.

Lawana Blackwell is a great author. This book deviates from her usual plots. It still was a good read and I recommend it
