If I tag a book on my lists, is it a tag that only I can see?

No, tags are public to anyone looking at the book.  If you are looking to keep a personal note to yourself on a book, try using the note feature.  This puts a virtual sticky note on a book, that only you can see.

IF you want a list you bring up then you can create a booklist and make it so only you can edit it. Or if you want to say create a list of unpostable books you have-you can tag them but don't jsut do Unpostable.  You have to personalize it like "fara-unpostable"

Fara,

You could also make a list of books you are using in games in your bulletin board.  That's what I do.  And I have seen several others do the same thing.  That has the added benefit of being more easily tracked and edited IMO.  Just another option you might want to consider.

You can also make a book list off your profile.  Those can be set to private, right?   Or you set your bulletin board to private.   Otherwise you are revealing before revealing.

I use a yellow note and the reminder list sorted by date added.  I'll end up removing and adding books to the reminder list.  But it is then easy to open a new page and have the links ready.

List on our profile can't be private in the sense of "non-viewable", but we can make them so that nobody else can edit them.  But if your profile is private, the lists will be hard to find.

I've been doing the booklist thing for games.  Which reminds me-I need to update that list.

I just use a Tag. There are tons of personal Tags so I don't care if others can see it (not like they can know its mine) and I see it easily on the book when I look at it. As long as I click on the Tag from my Tags List, I only get the books I Tagged and I can tell on the book that its mine because it has the X to remove it instead of the R to report it.
