I noted that some erotic books are tagged " hot"--" steamy" --"erotic"--"sexy" but the one that made me laugh was tagged "paranormal smut" .   :)

I saw that one too.  I'm suprised I haven't seen it more.  I saw one that said something like "filthy violent sex" or something similar on a Lora Leigh book.  Just made me want the book. I thought about being offended but then I thought someone who really doesn't want sex in their books would find that helpful.  But really, it's more likely that someone who does like these books is going to look up the tag to see what else they can read. The chances of someone against sex in books is going to be looking at Erotic thrillers is slim.

One I saw this weekend that made me laugh was "Whacked Author"

Janet sez:

"One I saw this weekend that made me laugh was "Whacked Author""

Would that be a commentary, or a criminal confession? :-)

I guess the more important thing about the "Whacked Author" tag is if there is more than one tag.  Then we need to make sure someone isn't using PBS as a hit list.  :P

I admit to tagging a couple of books with "lots of sex" on more than one occasion.  But I read the book and enjoyed it and was labeling it for those people like me who don't pay attention to genre and just order books because I like the author or someone recommended.

Though it was creepy this weekend when I labeled a book "Paranormal" "Romance" "Hell" "New York" "Satan" "Mona" "Paige".  All are relevant tags, but they are kinda creepy put together.  :)
