Noticed that when I add tags to books, the system now puts quotes around the tag. So that ends up being a separate tag than ones I've used. For instance I have a tag to read, but now the system when I add the tag to read, it ends up being "to read", so the books I previously tagged are under to read, but the new ones are under "to read". Anyone know if this is permenant thing? Fortuntely I can remove the quotes. If this is a permenant change to tags it would make more sense for me to change to the new way of having the quotes around the tag. |

I didn't notice. But then I stopped using Tags when they came out with the book lists. |

I noticed something was off about the tag feature, but haven't had time to play with it. |

I had the same problem and was finding it very irritating to keep having to remove the quote marks. Then I found that if I type the entire tag name rather than choosing it from the list that comes up after I put the first few characters, it did not put the quote marks. Still a bit of a pain because I have to type the whole tag, but easier than removing the quote marks every time. |

Since no one else mentioned having done so, I've sent in Feedback to the Team to ask about this issue -- I'll post here if/when I learn anything. |

Thanks Cattriona -- sounds like something they'd want to know about :-) |

The Team says: "It was an inadvertant effect of a change we made to the Search feature. It should be fixed now." I tried it and it looks like it is, indeed, fixed. Yay! |

When I was searching for some books last night it added quotation marks to what I entered. Then it put up a thing saying "did you meant to search for xxxx" but w/o the quotation marks. |

I missed it I guess as I never did see any quotes in my Tag entries. Shucks. Pat |
