Amazing tale for all cat lovers or anyone who enjoys books in the tradition of Watership Down. Excellent read.

VERY good book. I liked it much more than Watership Down and about as much as the Redwall books; I'd definately recommend it, especially for cat-lovers!

An intriguing book with interesting insight into the lives of cats. Along the lines of Watership Down, but with more adventure.

I enjoyed this a lot. I generally enjoy books with cats as main characters. A few more horror elements then I had expected, but well done.

A slightly atypical quest story. Yes, a young male goes off on a quest to rescue his girlfriend... except the young male's name is Fritti Tailchaser, and his girlfriend is Hushpad---and they're both cats!
I suppose others have compared Tad Williams cat books to Adams' WATERSHIP DOWN, but I think they come closer in flavor to Shirley Rousseau Murphy's CATSWOLD PORTAL. Any cat-lover will recognize that Williams has spent quite a bit of time watching cats interact. And the story is a delight as well.

From back cover: Meet Fritti Tailchaser, a ginger tom cat of rare courage and curiosity, a born survivor in a world of heroes and villains, of powerful feline gods and whiskery legends about those strange, furless, erect creatures called M'an. Join Tailchaser on his magical quest to rescue his catrfiend Hushpad--aquest that will take him all the way to cat hell and beyond...
