  I work for them
from dark till light
tired as a dog
and she starts a fight

life hands out more
than I can take
so I had a few beers
and came home late

it ain’t like I’m
my old man
couldn’t keep a job
but I sure can

she gets a look
like a scarred kitten
it gets me mad
and I start hittin

I screwed up
I went to far
I’ll buy some flowers
and swear off the bar

I’ve always loved her
I’ll never stop
I’d stop drinkin
if she’d shut up

nice to see the other point of view represented, tells me you have empathy and understanding. He's lucky to have you.
