Hello Everyone,

Just a reminder that The Moonstone was chosen for the February discussion. We need someone to head up the discussion. I'm going to be out of town several days this month so I don't want to lead February. I will lead March, though :-)

If you are interested in leading April, let us know.

Please nominate one book for our March discussion. We will take nominations until February 12th (1 week) then we can vote. Everyone is welcome! If you have not particpated before, we would love to have you join us. If you have participated before, welcome back! Ideally, it would be preferable if the book is available here at PBS.

I just found your group/ club and definitely want to participate, what about Tess of the d'Urbervilles.  I just watched it on Masterpiece not too long ago and fell in love with the story...would much rather have read the book first.

I'd like to nominate A Room with a View, I'd never read anything by Forster before and really enjoyed Howard's End, which made me want to pick up his most famous book.

Welcome Mick! Everyone is welcome to read and discuss with us.

it is looking like A Room With A View is winning. Anyone else who wants to cast a vote, please do so by Feb. 17 so we will have plenty of time to get a copy of the book.

I'd like to join. I just ordered the book - I hope it gets here in time.

If the book ends up not being Room with a View, I'm reading it anyway. So there.

Okay, it looks like A Room With A View is our winner!

I plan to set up discussion threads March 6th.

I'm looking forward to reading and discussing this book by E. M. Forster with everyone.

So, are we supposed to be done reading by March 6, or what?

No, that is when we start our discussion.  You want to order the book and hopefully receive it by March 6.

Good question, Rick.

We usually divide the book up into sections and discuss as we read. I believe I will add a whole book discussion thread also so if someone would rather discuss the book in its entirety they can do that also. If you would like to do something differently, let me know :-)

I never have jointed a book group on pbs, but do enjoy classic literature.  I just ordered the book "Room With a View" and would love to join the group to discuss this book.
