My first read by Maureen Smith..I was very impressed with her writing style...She definitely delivered...I enjoyed this story about Marcus and Samara....I look forward to reading her other book series!
Maureen Smith has written a lovely contemporary love story between two highly accomplished individuals. I found both characters believable and interesting. The heroine, Samara, doesn't have too much angst. She's smart, strong, and goes after what she wants. The hero, Marcus, is successful, sexy, and decent. The two have really amazing chemistry. Their love scenes are sizzling.
I read this in one day. I would definitely read more books from this author. I like her style. She avoids the cliches that often clutter romance novels. It's nice to read about two mature individuals who act like contemporary adults. Both the heroine and hero have deep seated insecurities and vulnerabilities like all of us. How they manage to overcome those personal demons is at the heart of the book.
