if a member is going to send you a book that has been "repaired" ....should they check and see if you want it before mailing?

I recently recieved a book  in which the front cover has a five inch or so rip thru it and the sender (or previous owner(s) had been taped back together

with clear packing tape.

is this acceptable?

This book is not postable.  If you haven't already done so, you should mark it received with a problem and request a credit refund.

The rule is that rips in the cover under 1 inch are postable, rips over 1 inch are not postable. (taped or not). So, you should RWAP.
