Thoroughly enjoyable book! This is the story of some sweet old church-going ladies who feel compelled to plot the murder of a friend's abusive husband. Think "Arsenic and Old Lace" meets The Dixie Chicks' "Earl Had to Die".
I'm not sure where I expected the story to go, but I was a bit surprised at the end. I really liked the old lady characters. I'll be looking for more from this author.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was funny in a gruesome way. I remember laughing out loud, then trying to explain to someone who heard me laugh why a story about murder is funny. Great story!

What a delight this book is! This is the first book by this author that I have read and I am eager to read her other books. While this book is a real romp, the characters are very Southern, very real and very authentic. I love this author's voice.
