This is a sweet book about an adopted child asking her adoptive parents about how she came to be their child. A wonderful story that expresses the love and excitement the parents felt for their child on that first night and all the days thereafter. It is short and sweet and uncomplicated for a child to understand. Very cute and comical illustrations, too.

This book was written about a baby that was adopted but is clearly enjoyed by children that weren't adopted. Both of my children LOVED this book and it prompted them to ask about they night they were born. It's interesting how you can put a comical spin on labor pains and traffic to the hospital. It was a nightly ritual to read this book and reminisce about the night each of them were born. I would recommend this book for your children or as a gift!

Excellent book to read to children about their adoption! Our 3 year old loves the part about the parents racing to the hospital. It made it all more real to her while putting things very delicately! Thanks Jamie!

Tells the story of parents who fly across the US to adopt their new baby. A wonderful book about adoption, open adoption in particular.
