I have an RC, but only for dustjackets on Star Wars books that I order.  I've turned mine on now that I've got one waiting for me, accepted the book and now I'm waiting on the member to accept or decline based on my RC's.  Do I have to wait til they do that to turn off my RC's?  This is the first time I've needed to turn them on since writing them and I'm not really sure when I can turn them back off for books that don't apply.

 Thanks!

No, you don't have to wait for them to respond. Your RC went through with the order and it is on record now. You can turn it off.

Be sure to remember to turn them on and off accordingly.

I once forgot to turn my book specific RC off and it went through with a book order in which my RC did not apply. Confusing, I am sure.

I PMed the member and apologized as soon as discovered my blunder and told them I had no RC for the book.

I still got turned down. Wahhhh.

I keep mine on until the book is accepted.  Have had books roll over, and I think the RC was not on the second book.   You can go to the credit registry under my account to see the details.  (Transactive archive shows the books that are done, not the books in process.)

How do you turn off an RC for an individual book?  I'll appreciate any help.  Thanks.

There are two ways, to either push the button saying to not apply your RC when the request shows up.  Or to turn it off on your settings.  This does not work as well if you have other books on auto request.  If they come through at the same time, they will also get the RC off.

I have also seen the RC with a first line saying that the RC does not apply to such and such.  Either type or title.
