This one is kind of scary towards the end, but it is really funny. Stephanie always seems to get herself into some serious messes and she has Lula to thank for this one. Oh and you're going to love hearing about Lula and Grandma Mazur working together on a special job!
Possibly the best so far in the series, this adventure finds bounty hunter Stephanie Plum on the wrong side of some murderous gang members who've ordered a hit on her. She also finds herself in Ranger's bed, in his lair. Or does she? Steph also encounters a pack of amorous dogs, a phone sex operator, and the usual cadre of miscreant "FTAs." Her family's affairs continue to be a source of aggravation and chuckles -- this time, there's a familiar face playing an exceptionally odd role. And don't miss what happens when Connie, Lula and Steph kidnap a seriously bad guy with the intention of beating some essential information out of him.
ALL of Evanovich books are great, I anticipate each new one on the edge of my seat. This series is worth reading them all, you dont have to read them in order, but you will want to read them all (laugh out loud funny) so you might as well start at 1.
You'll know you're in Stephanie Plum's neighborhood because all hell wil be breaking loose. Not that she looks for trouble--it just seems to follow her. It explodes at a deli, and when Stephanie pegs a robber as a member of a vicious Trenton gang, they peg her as dead. Vice cop Joe Morelli fears she's in way too deep--even with the help of crime-solving, cross-dressing bus driver Sally Sweet, and Stephanie's friend Lula riding shotgun as backup. With a notorious killer on h er tail, Stephanie figures the best hideout is Ranger's secret lair...
The most intense of the series so far! An intense and excellent read. I could not put it down last night. I am so dissapointed that I have finished the book. I think I am addicted. Too bad we don't have tastycakes in Memphis to drown my sorrows!

Number 10 in the Stephanie Plum Series. Bounty Hunter Stephanie Plum gets marked for death by a Trenton gang and her only hope is to stay at Ranger's private hideaway. Great book with all the usual Plum mishaps!
If you haven't read the Stephanie Plum novels you've missed a lot of fun. I find myself laughing out loud sometimes while reading this series, EVanovich is my kind of weird.

Tenth in the series of the Stephanie Plum series. Parts of it added an off beat humor that helped with the story. I liked some of her earlier non-Plum books better but it was interesting enough I have purchased a couple of the other ones in the series. I accidentally bought this book twice so this one is new.

This is my favorite one so far! It was incredibly funny- especially pgs 86-94. I was hysterical. I also really loved getting in deeper with some of the characters - especially Ranger. Ranger is really growing on me, starting with this book. The next couple also delve into his character a lot more. I love this whole series, but this book was definitely one of the best since the beginning!
"Ten Big Ones" starts innocently with Stephanie in search of some nachos, but it soon develops into mayhem as she interrupts a robbery and manages to get on the wrong side of one of New Jersey's most notorious gangs who put out a contract on her...This is another laugh-out-loud, over-the-top book. Enjoy...
Absolutely hilarious. These books are a riot. The combination of humor and mystery are brilliantly combined.
Laugh out loud funny. Strongly recommened. Stephanie is one unique gal always in the way of trouble no matter how careful she might be.
This is a hilarious series of funny storied books. I read one book and then had to find them all.
Unfortunately Janet doesn't know how to turn on the heat for the romantic side of her stories... and how come Stephanie is never compensated for her losses, and is always just an out of luck victim?? Her new brother in law could be suing these guys for her.
There has never been a book in this series that I have not read and read again and again...just completed my whole collection Bk one thru 14 now waiting to pick up 15 on PBS I LOVE your bookswap! I will be a faithful bookswapper until I can read no longer haha..
Thanks for all your great work on this site!!
This is tenth in the series. I don't think that the books have to be read in order...same characters and more or less the same plot. The nice thing about this series is that it is lighthearted, funny, fast reading. Its a holiday.
You just can't get enough of Stephanie Plum. But I definitely recommend starting with One for the Money and working your way up. If you start in the middle of the series, you may not understand the characters as well.
Janet Evanovich is one of my two favorite authors. Her Stephanie Plum books are so funny and this one will certainly have you laughing out loud. In fact, I think it is one of the better ones. I had tears in my eyes through parts of this books. Everybody must read Janet Evanovich!!!
Stephanie Plum and her partner, Lula, are clearly in the wrong place at the wrong time. A robbery leads to an explosion, and the two of them become involved. This is suspenseful as they are racing against the clock.
This book was a huge improvement over books 8 & 9 just don't ask me how I came to that conclusion ;) Might it be I'm just in a better mood? Highly unlikely but I can't come up with anything else. Stephanie Plum is still up to her old tricks. She's living with Joe Morelli (for at least part of the book), lusting after Ranger, hanging with Lula (who never fails to make me laugh ~ especially when C.J. Critt is voicing her character) and getting into some major trouble quite by accident -- this time with a local gang who puts a hit on her head. This book made me smile quite often and for that it gets a recommendation ;)
Stephanie Plum is always entertaining, but this one was a bit of a disappointment for me. Stephanie is the target in this book so she decides to hide out at Rangers. My problem with it was she does so many stupid things, she's asking to get killed. Her character has always been a bit ditzy but not brainless. Still, it has it's funny moments and readers should still give it a chance.
"She's accidently destroyed a dozen cars. She's a target for every psycho and miscreant this side of the Jersey Turnpike. Her mother's convinced she'll end up dead....or worse, without a man. She's Stephanie Plum, and she kicks butt for a living (well, she thinks it sounds good to put it that way...)" This series is a lot of fun!! I can't wait to read the next one.
This one isn't "who is Stephanie after" so much as it is "who is after Stephanie". She manages to have a gang after her while she tries to pick up rather tame FTAs. I was a little disappointed with this installment. It was still good, but it was a little darker than usual. We expect danger and whatnot from a Plum novel, but I know I also expect to chuckle out loud a time or two. That didn't really happen this time. I even found Ranger annoying in this one. I'm getting tired of his response to EVERYTHING being "babe". It's just getting old for me. It was nice to see Sally the crossdresser again though. I just enjoy the character, what can I say? Overall, not my favorite Plum novel, but still entertaining enough to keep me interested in the series.
Stephanie is blowing up cars again, in record numbers. Of course, it's not her fault-she's just in the wrong place at the wrong time. She can't help it the killer called the Junkman is after her. Sometime partner Lula is riding shotgun, and Grandma Mazur is on the loose. Stephanie must find a safe place to hide, but how safe can it be at Ranger's?
Plum, girl bounty hunter, the terror of Trenton, the bane of her boyfriend Joe Morelli's existence, and the delight of her crazy grandma's heart, is in the wrong place at the wrong time--as usual. Just happening to be indulging her nachos jones at a local deli when it's robbed by the notorious Red Devils, Plum is the eye witness who could put the gang leader, known as the Junkman, behind bars... if he just lets her live long enough. Looking for a place to hide out from the killer until the cops catch up with him, Stephanie sneaks into her fellow bounty hunter Ranger's apartment without telling Morelli, who's not overly fond of him. All the usual suspects in this long-running series are along for a wilder than ever ride, including Lula the gun-toting ex-hooker, Grandma Mazur, Stephanie's pregnant sister Valerie and her fiancé, as well as a host of minor characters who bring Trenton's seedier environs to life.
I LOVE Janet Evanovich, esp. the Stephanie Plum series!! This is a great continuation of the series, with all the BEST characters, including Sally sweet who is HILARIOUS and the final reveal of Ranger's secret lair....FABULOUS! I read it in two days!
If you're a Stephanie Plum fan, you've got to read this one--you get more insights into the life of the mysterious Ranger, including what his shower gel is. There's all the usual humor, wacky characters, and oh yeah, adventure to boot.
Swing off the Jersey Turnpike and you'll be in bounty hunter Stephanie Plum's neighborhood. In Ten Big ones it explodes at a deli, and when Stephanie pegs a robber as a member of a vicious Trenton Gane, they peg her as dead.
Wow! Stephanie has some big britches to fill. She's in the big time now, with a contract on her head and a gang on her tail, and the bride's maid dress from hell. She has to hid in the most dangerouse place she could be, Ranger's bed. Just don't smell the soap, or u may not come up for air.
Another cute book by Stephanie. She and Joe are in over there heads again, the excitement happens at a deli where Steph pegs a robber as a member of a vicious street gang. With the help of Vice Cop Joe Morelli, Sally Sweet and Lula riding shotgun the go after the bad guys.

This is the second book I've read in the Plum series, and already I found them predictable. Stephanie, although funny, is really a klutz when it comes to being a bounty hunter. Book is good for comic relief...however, this one wasn't as funny as # 9, and it had in a lot more expletives.
All of Janet's books are excellent. It's great to follow the anventures of Stephanie, LuLu and Grandma in their bumbling adventures. I would recommend all the Plum books to anyone that needs a light, laugh out loud read every once in a while.
SO good to be in PlumLand! Stephanie spends a lot of time living in Ranger's apartment! Sleeping in his bed; using his shower. . . With Bus Driver Sally Sweet and Lula helping, of course it all works out fine!
Up another hum dinger! Could not put it down!
Stephanie and Lula are trying to figure out what to eat when Lula pulls out her gun and was boasting about her shooting when she takes out the pack tire of a bicycle, that turns out to be the get a way vehicle for the devil masked man robbing the deli for the 14th time, he throws his molotov cocktail at the deli and the manager runs out with it throwing at the devil masked man and hit him and Stephanie's yellow Ford Escape. It turns out that she is the only one who can ID the masked man.
She continues to work and pick up skips and then Morelli tries to keep her safe and she loses it and walks out. She finds an apartment for Val, but it wont be ready to move in for 2 weeks. She realizes there is a hit out on her and she has to keep a low profile, which she is not good at doing.
She ends up at Ranger's as a safe hide out so that none of her family or friends get hurt in this fiasco. She continues to hide. She continues to work. But what happens when Ranger comes home? What does the Junkman (hired gun) want with her anyway? Will she survive her diet? Will Val get married? Just when Steph thinks its safe to return to her life and go to her sister's bridal shower is when they nab her!
Stephnie Plumm, the boundy hunter is on the prawl with grandma's fondness for funeral wakes and Lula wisdon as side kicks. Throw in a six foot cross dressing gartar playing wedding planner in the mix . Things just seem to happen to Stephnie good thing she has a few knights to rescure her now and than.
Yet again, her car gets blown up, Ranger smells great-sure wish there was smell a vision with this book!-Love the Buick and all the fun that comes with driving that car. Non stop action with Stephanie.
Lots of laugh out loud parts in this story. Go Lula!!
Another fun adventure with Stephanie Plum, she is always trying to get it right in the job department and boyfriend department. Love Ranger and Joe. Fun series, always a laugh and a what did she just do question. She is just funny.
