Has anyone seen the date and what broadcast station(s) are going to air the mini-series this fall based on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series?  I loved the series and am anxious to watch the show.  My husband's best friend and I have decided to have a standing date to watch the show together since our spouses don't read (who knew there were people like that??!)  Anyway I hope the show does justice to the book(s)-since Terry has turned down several offers of movies on the books and finally decided to go with the Spiderman movies director there is a good chance they will stay true to the books (fingers crossed)

Oooooooh! I hadn't heard about this! I will look forward to it. Guess I'd better read Wizard's First Rule again.

I just read on a link that at the moment they are looking at it to be 22 one hour shows on Saturday night with Disney footing the bill.  Here is the link if you want to check it out:  http://www.terrygoodkind.net/forums/showthread.php?t=3334

A friend just sent me this link http://www.legendoftheseeker-plus.com/information.php that you can search by your zip code to see what stations will be airing the mini series.  It is suppose to be called Legend of the Seeker and air the weekend of November 1st!  Unfortunately for me it is airing at 11:00 Sunday night for 2 hours so getting up at 6:00 will be a challenge unless I can get the possessed machine to record it.

Where I live it's on PHL17 or WGN and starts this weekend.  I watched "The Making of A Legend" the other day, and it seems like it will be pretty good.  A little different from the book though

Did anybody watch this last night? I thought it was good, not great. It's been quite a while since I read the book but it seemed to have the basic storyline down pretty good. I don't remember tons of details from the book but I think that's ok since I'll enjoy it more that way.

There were a lot of details changed, but I wasn't exactly disappointed. Just not what I expected I suppose. The action scenes were great though!

I couldn't find it on this past weekend on any of the channels in my area. Guess I'll have to wait for the DVD.

I thought Zedd would look a little different but other than that it was pretty good.  I have it scheduled to watch this weekend...can't wait!

I saw the episode last week and it was not too bad.  They did change a couple of things but overall it was okay.  The actress portraying kahlan does an excellent job as the Mother Confessor.  However, I will have to get used to the guy portraying Richard (Looks a little too young IMHO).  I have high expectations for this show and I really hope they don't screw it up.

i tried to start reading this series after finishing The Wheel of Time series.  I was disappointed, but then, WoT has ruined several other potentially entertaining series for me.  The only series that has successfully caught my attention post-WoT is George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones.  I just hope they don't butcher these novels when they adapt them for TV.  And dear god, I hope they stay away from WoT.

They completely diverted from the basic storyline with how they handled the Book of Counted Shadows.  That was a MAJOR diversion from the stories plot.
